Hi, I'm Mike.

I'm Mike Malos. I've been working in the trades for fifteen years, and a few years back I went out on my own and started AMM Construction Services. I'm based in Claremore, Oklahoma, and I serve the whole Tulsa metro — from the historic homes in Midtown Tulsa out to the new builds in Bixby and the acreage properties around Verdigris.

I went out on my own for a simple reason: I wanted to do the work the way I believe it should be done. One point of contact. No subcontracting the important parts. The site cleaned up at the end of every day. A clear written estimate before any work starts, and a final walkthrough before you pay. None of that is revolutionary, and all of it is rare.

Why I don't do everything

I don't do plumbing, electrical, or HVAC. I never have, and I'm not going to start. Doing those trades right requires licensing, specialized tools, and the kind of daily practice that keeps a tradesman sharp. A generalist who runs a little bit of pipe or pulls a little wire is the contractor who creates the problems I get called to fix.

What I do instead is work alongside licensed plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians when a job needs them. I coordinate them as part of the project, and I'll tell you straight — at the estimate stage, before any work starts — when your project needs a licensed trade. Framing the limit as a standard rather than a gap is, honestly, how you know a contractor is trustworthy. The one who says he does everything is the one you should be careful of.

What you can expect from the first text to the final walkthrough

It starts with a text. You send me a couple photos of the project and a sentence about what you're hoping for — that's enough. I'll come out, look at the site, and we'll talk through what you want and what's actually possible. No charge for that. I'll follow up with a written estimate: itemized, materials and labor, and a real timeline. Not a vague range.

When the work starts, I'm the one doing it. I frame the deck. I set the posts. I hang the drywall. If the project needs a trade, I coordinate it. I communicate when anything changes, and I keep the site clean — every day, not just at the end. When the work is done, we walk through it together before you pay. If something isn't right, I come back and make it right.

What I believe about doing a job right

The part of a deck you can't see is the part that decides how long it lasts. The prep before the paint is the job; the painting is the last hour. A coped inside corner stays tight when a mitered one opens up. The grade around your foundation matters more than the finish on the siding. These aren't opinions — they're how the work actually holds up over time, and skipping them is how you end up calling a contractor like me to rebuild what another contractor built five years ago.

I'm not the cheap option and I won't pretend to be. I'm the guy you call when you want it done right, once. The kind of customer I work best with is the one who'd rather pay for it to last than pay to do it again — and there are a lot of those across the Tulsa metro. Claremore is home

I live in Claremore. A lot of my customers are my neighbors, and I like it that way. The historic homes near downtown, the mid-century ranches, the newer builds out toward Verdigris — I've worked on all of it, and I know the housing stock. The drive from Claremore to anywhere in the metro is short, which means I can be on your site fast, and I can handle the small repair calls that bigger contractors won't return a text for.
