Yard Work & Landscaping in the Tulsa Metro
Yard work is where a lot of Oklahoma homes fail slowly — grading that sends water toward the foundation, beds that hold moisture against the siding, hardscape that heaves with the freeze-thaw. AMM Construction Services handles yard grading, landscape beds, sod installation, cleanup, and hardscape across the Tulsa metro, with the drainage and grading work that makes everything else last.
Grading is the foundation of a yard. Oklahoma clay expands when wet and shrinks when dry, which means the grade around your foundation matters more here than in most places. I re-grade to move water away from the house, fix low spots that hold standing water, and tie yard drainage into downspouts so the roof water doesn't pool against the slab. None of this is glamorous, and all of it prevents expensive foundation work later.
Landscape beds — built, edged, and mulched — frame the house and give the yard structure. I build beds with proper edging, the right soil for what's going in them, and mulch that's actually mulch, not the dyed shredded pallets that wash away in the first rain. I install sod for instant lawns and seed for the customer who'd rather wait, and I do the prep underneath either one — you can't lay sod over unprepped ground and expect it to root.
Hardscape — paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pit areas — is the structural side of the yard. I build with proper base material, compaction, and drainage behind walls so they don't lean in three years. Oklahoma freeze-thaw will lift a paver patio that was laid on sand over unprepped soil; I lay pavers on a compacted base that stays put. The difference is under the surface, where you can't see it until it fails.

How the project runs
Text or call
Tell me what the yard needs — grading, beds, sod, a patio, a cleanup. Photos help.
Site visit
I walk the yard, check the grade against the foundation, look at drainage, and confirm the scope.
Written estimate
Materials, labor, and timeline. Itemized and free.
Work
Grading and prep first, then beds, sod, or hardscape. Cleaned up and walked through at the end.
